1. Ginger and Basil decoction

Although ginger has many health benefits, it plays an important role in curing a cold and flu. Ginger is the best medicine for colds. Boil some ginger with a cup of water and put 10-12 basil leaves in it. Boil this mixture till the water remains half. Now consume this decoction. It is very beneficial in curing a cold from its root.

2. Honey

Honey is one of the best remedies for cough. It is rich in anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties. To get relief from sore throat and pain, lemon tea should be mixed with honey, and drinking two spoons of honey mixed with one spoon of lemon juice in a glass of warm water or warm milk is very beneficial, but less than a year. Honey should not be given to children.

Breathe through your nose by placing your head over a pot of hot water. If you want, you can add mint to it as per requirement. Now cover the head with a light towel and take steam from a distance of about 30 cm from the bowl. This gives relief from a blocked nose.
