Earlier, there was a provision to make tickets within five km of the station, a big relief to the passengers, Railways has given online facilities to make general tickets like reserved tickets. The main reason is also to promote a cashless system.

 Railways have given great relief to passengers. Now they can make general tickets sitting at home even within a radius of 20 km. Earlier, there was a facility to generate tickets within a radius of five km under the UATS on the mobile app. Due to the limited scope, more and more passengers could not take advantage of this scheme. This arrangement will not only reduce the crowd at general ticket counters but also increase the revenue of the Railways.

An online facility is being provided by the Railways to make general tickets like reserved tickets. Although it has been more than four years since the scheme was started. The main reason for starting this facility is to reduce the crowd at the ticket counter, besides providing instant general tickets and promoting a cashless system. But the kind of response it should have received, its absence was continuously coming to the fore.

This is a great facility for passengers who travel in general coaches daily or three to four times a week. But due to the compulsion to make tickets within a radius of only five km from the railway station, the passengers used to face problems. Passengers living more than five km away could not make tickets even if they wanted to. They had to come within a radius of five km as per the provision.

Due to the limited scope, the passengers could not get the benefit of this scheme of making mobile tickets and it was affecting the revenue of the Railways. This system has not been implemented in Bilaspur Railway Division alone, but it has been started by Indian Railways. Along with implementing this new facility, the railway administration is also appealing to the passengers to take maximum advantage of this facility of buying tickets through this app while sitting at home.

Railways have also issued a notification that the passengers who already have this app downloaded on their mobiles, will have to update it. As soon as they update, the information about the 20 km radius will start coming automatically. Apart from this, those who do not know about it. Such passengers can avail of the facility by downloading the mobile app.
