Ingredients:

  • Gourd – 01 kg (thin),
  • Sugar - 300 grams,
  • Mawa (Khoya) - 200 grams,
  • Desi Ghee - 02 tbsp,
  • Cashew nuts - 02 tbsp (finely chopped),
  • Raisins - 02 tbsp (washed after breaking the stalk),
  • Pistachios - 01 tsp (finely chopped),
  • Cardamom – 05 (ground)

How to make

  1. First of all, peel and wash the bottle gourd and then rotate it around and grate it and separate the seed part.
  2. Now put the bottle gourd in the pan and cook it on medium flame. After two-three minutes, add sugar to the bottle gourd and cook it while stirring.
  3. In no time the gourd will start leaving. When the water of the gourd leaves, then increase the flame of the gas and cook while stirring till the water runs out. When all the water of the bottle gourd is over, add ghee to it and fry while stirring.
  4. After roasting the bottle gourd for about 5 minutes, add mawa (khoya) and raisins to it and keep stirring it. After about 5-6 minutes, turn off the gas and sprinkle cardamom powder on top of the pan. Now serve it cold to your family by keeping it in the fridge.
